Farmall 55-75 C

For those who demand a compact and versatile tractor for general tasks, Case IH created the Farmall A. Light, highly maneuverable and easy to use with low running costs, you will find the best combination between performance and a wise investment. Whatever the demands of your work, Farmall A can handle them with a comfortable operator environment that makes a long day seem shorter.

Take on the toughest challenges

If you have been looking for an all-rounder, but think smaller tractors lack the specifications of their heavier stable mates, look again – at the Case IH Farmall C 55-75 range! From simple mechanical entry level with mechanical shuttle or powershuttle, with and without creeper gears, a wide range of transmissions are available. This low clearance, high energy performer combines the best of compact utility tractor engineering with the advanced technological features you will be familiar with from larger machines, and have come to expect from Case IH. And with updated features including higher 2500kg lift capacity, two speed PTO and loader-ready package from the factory, it’s now more versatile than ever before.

Explore the series

  • Wide opening glass doors and a full height entrance make it easy to enter the cab from either side. The controls are laid out logically, so that operation becomes instinctive, making the Farmall C suitable for casual drivers as well as owner operators.

  • The FPT 4-cylinder common rail engine does not need to be driven at rated speed to perform; it delivers full power at a fuel-saving 1,800 rpm. This not only keeps fuel consumption down in all applications, but also results in high operating comfort due to lower noise and vibration levels.

  • The Farmall C range is available with two different PTO options: 540, 540 / 540. All cab models feature electro-hydraulic PTO engagement, whilst open platform versions have a mechanical engagement system.

  • You can choose between the simplicity of manual gear selection or low effort hydraulic operation. The assertive mechanical transmission offers 12 forward and 12 reverse gears with 40 kph, and is also available with Powershuttle. Low speed creeper gears are available on all transmissions.

  • Farmall C models are available from the factory loader-ready, with all you need to turn your tractor into an effective materials handling machine. While they work well with any loader, for optimum productivity they are especially designed for use with the matching Case IH L loader range.

Farmalls deliver for dairy farm

Nigel Harper manages two dairy farms with 700-head of cattle and a further 380-head of youngstock that spans 1000 acres in Cheshire: The Dairy Farm and Hollins Farm. Alongside managing these, Nigel also runs a contracting business, where he and his team carry out silaging across 18,000 acres, with a further 30,000 acres of other services such as cultivations and sowing, making it a busy enterprise.

To help with this, Nigel’s fleet includes an Optum 300, three Puma 240s, three Puma 200s and two Puma 165s, all hired from Ashbrook. For a lot of the work on their own dairy farms, they have two Farmall 55c tractors, for which Nigel and his team makes the most of their versatility.

“We mainly use them for scraping out the cubicle sheds, but also use them for operating the straw choppers and even some light field work such as moving heifers and youngstock,” he comments. “Having not had Farmalls three years ago, we can no longer see ourselves without them anytime soon because of the great job they do.”

“Their small size makes it easy to navigate around our farmyard and inside our sheds, and it’s a perfect balance of weight and power really for what we are wanting it to do,” he continues. “Being a dairy farm, it can get quite messy, so another handy feature is the ease with which we can clean them.”

Above all else though, Nigel feels the Farmall’s reliability is their most valuable asset. On his farm, slurry scraping is one of the most important jobs, and the peace of mind from knowing the Farmalls will start without any problems is invaluable. “It starts every day, and we don’t seem to have any problems with it at all,” he concludes.
